Destiny Island

Kingdom Hearts begins on Destiny Island with Sora, Riku and Kairi. Sora is woken up by Kairi after having a strange dream. He asks Kairi if she knew how her home town was like and she replies "I don't remember." Riku interrupts the conversation by saying that he was the only one working on a raft that they were going to use to visit other worlds.  Kairi giggles and challenge both boys to a race.After the cut scene, Kairi will ask Sora to get her some items for their raft journey (which I got completely lost in). This gives the player a chance to explore the island and find some interesting thinks and talk to different characters. She will give off hints if help is needed. Later, on the Island's Paopu tree (with star shaped fruit), Sora and Kari notice how much thought that Riku has about visiting other worlds.After that, Riku teases Sora about sharing the legendary paopu fruit with Kairi. (it is hinted) When two people share a Paopu fruit their destinies will be intertwined, and remain a part of their lives together. The scene then changes to a different world.

Players will see Donald Duck calling for his king, Mickey Mouse in Kingdom Castle. Surprised he is not there, Pluto gives him a letter from Mickey. he and Goofy are to find "key" and its holder. This person with a key will save the worlds that are being swallowed by darkness.They set out to find their king. 

We return to Sora, only it is now night time. When a mysterious storm accurs, Sora had to fight off strange creatures as best as he could.The strange creatures named Heartless: those who are without compassion. The teenage boy and his friends are all separated.  Slowly, Sora sinks into darkness.A key suddenly appears on Sora's hand-- a Keyblade that can vanish and disappear all evil.  With that key, Sora escapes the darkness into a new world. Hoping to reunite with his friends, the teenage boy meets Donald Duck and Goofy. 

 Sora seeks for Riku and Kairi. He joins Donald and Goofy to stop the true master of the Heartless.
