 This game is where original self's will meet and beloved friends meet again. 

 A dark, gloomy scene starts in the game. Everything is destroyed and it is so quiet, that the waves can be heard. Players see a a person dressed in a black cloak (Organization XIII) face hidden inside the hood.Coming from a dark portal, the person confronts a man who was watching the waves crash gently onto the dark shore (also dressed in the same cloak). "You have arrived," says the man who was watching the waves, "I've been to see him." While he says this the other walks up to him. "He looks a lot like you." The shorter man asks "who are you", but there is no sound in his voice. instead of giving him his name, he replies "I am what is left, or maybe I am all that ever was." The other person in the cloak clarifies his question by asking his name. "My name is of no importance." Is all the reply. Then, the man watching the waves asks, "Do you know your true name?" 

"My true name... is..."

Dark Realm

The scene is interrupted by someone calling out Sora's name. Different scenes of Sora in Destiny Island from Kingdom Hearts I are shown. They blur out every once in a while like static on a television.  The screen turns white and we are introduced to a room with star lamps, boxes etc. Players see that a boy with blond spiky hair wakes up. "Another dream about him." Players are safe to assume that he is talking about Sora. The boy hears bells ringings and looks out his window after opening it. A song starts up for the introduction of the world of Twilight Town.

Players are introduced to two guys and a girl. Hayner, Pence and Olette are friends with Roxas (the spiky haired boy from before). Together they hang out in a room just for them (The Usual Place) and Roxas seems to be in deep thought as he stares at his hands. A title shows up saying "The 1st Day".

Hayner starts to speak about him being upset. Seifer and his gang are blaming him and his friends that they have been stealing pictures from all over town. "Now the whole town and their mothers are treating us like we are in the Klepto Club!" Exclaims Hayner. Olette worried, looks at Roxas for answer. Unsure what to say at first, he suggest to find the real thieves. After deciding it was a good idea Pence yells "they're gone! Thy're all gone!" When he tried saying what was missing, while holding up his camera, he couldn't. (A "----" would appear on screen when trying to say the word if subtitled).
They all cannot say this word and Roxas exclaim that the word was also stolen! When the friends decide to solve this problem and leave they're "hang out" place, Roxas passes out and falls to the floor.

"His heart is returning. Doubtless he'll awaken very soon." A voice says in the dark screen. Roxas then wakes up.Olette tells him to lets go. Then we meet Seifer and his friends. "Ha, not that we need -----, to prove that you're losers." Seifer scoffs. "I guess if you get on your knees and beg, MAYBE I'll let it slide." Roxas steps forward and gets on his knees. Seeing a weapon near by, he dashes a run for it. After a great defeat on Seifer's side, Pence decides to take a picture for memories. Before he could take  the picture out of the camera, quickly the camera is taken by a white figure and the picture still inside too! Following the white figure into the forest Roxas comes across a mansion that seemed completely deserted. The camera zooms into the creature and blurs out into a black screen. A sentence is shown:

We have come for you, my liege.  

(Left to Right) Olette, Pence, Hayner, Roxas, Seifer, Fuu, Rai, Vivi

The creature unzips his zipped mouth and Roxas tries to attack. Various hits are given to the creature, but he never showed any weakness to Roxas' weapon. Roxas's weapon is suddenly transformed into a familiar keyblade. The keyblade looks much like Sora's keyblade. "What... what is this thing?" Roxas questions as the keyblade pulls his aim torward the white creature. After battling the creature again, it is finally defeated. The keyblade disappears from his hand and Roxas is surrounded by nothing but pictures. The ("----") missing word turned out to be the word "Photo."

For some strange reason, the stolen photos were all of Roxas. "Wouldn't it be weird if the thief wanted to steal the real Roxas or something?" Pence suggested. Hayner says no if Roxas is a "bonehead". 

"Oh, thanks!" Roxas spoke and the group of friends laugh together. His friends leave later on, and Roxas is left alone as he wonders silently to himself about what just happened. The screen goes black questions being asked. "Where am I? Who's there? Who are you?"

Static is heard on the black screen after the questions and a computer voice speaks.

"Restoration at 12%."
